Method
- Chop the strawberries and roughly mash
- Add the sugar and lemon juice to the strawberries and place in a saucepan over a medium to high hob
- Bring to the boil and allow to bubble whilst continuously stirring until the mixture thickens
- Transfer to a storage container and allow to reach room temperature before placing in the 'fridge
